The Karate Kid Part 7 ?

So I would like everyone to take a seat , I don’t care where your at please just sit down . After I tell you my news I would hate to have any concussions or injuries on my conscience . I Andrew Dubay of sound mind and body have agreed to run a half marathon in july with Cathleen ( who will be doing the whole shebang).

Anyone who knows me , knows that of course I look like this

No this is going to be the most difficult thing I have ever done how am I going to get my body to keep moving for 13 miles ? I looked like this after just three miles

I told Cathleen that the only way I was going to be able to pull this off was with some major training , I told her it was going to be the Karate kid all over again . She will be Pat Morairty and I will be a Young Ralph Machio .

This is going to be the most difficult and stupidest things I have ever done Cathleen is going to beat my body to with an inch of its life.

I have to mold my body from this

To this

Not that I will be complaining when I look like this because frankly it’s a lot better than my pooh tummy. Now I have run three miles every morning since this decision bringing my grand total of miles this week to six .I did encounter a problem on Thursday I found out there is a little something called Chafing and it’s a bitch . My “inner” thighs might have been lit on fire and burnt right next to Joan of Arc . It was sheer torture . I don’t know if this is the right “life goal “ for me . I should have just pledged to eat more or something , maybe a hot dog eating contest . Well I will keep you all up to date on my ever dying body and the pains I bring upon it .

Quotes

My Favorite Movie Quotes of the year

Mark Zuckerberg: I think if your clients want to sit on my shoulders and call themselves tall, they have the right to give it a try – but there’s no requirement that I enjoy sitting here listening to people lie. You have part of my attention – you have the minimum amount. The rest of my attention is back at the offices of Facebook, where my colleagues and I are doing things that no one in this room, including and especially your clients, are intellectually or creatively capable of doing.
– The Social Network

Dickie Eklund: Do you think I knocked down Sugar Ray Leonard?
Mickey Ward: Yeah, sure I do. You were the pride of Lowell. You were my hero, Dicky.
Dickie Eklund: I was. I was.
– The Fighter
Nina Sayers: I was perfect…
– Black Swan
Mattie Ross: You must pay for everything in this world, one way and another. There is nothing free except the grace of God.
– True Grit
Mal: You’re waiting for a train. A train that will take you far away. You can’t be sure where it will take you. But it doesn’t matter – because we’ll be together.
– Inception

Janine Cody: You’ve done some bad things sweetie.
– Animal Kingdom
Mr. Pricklepants: Sunnyside is a place of ruin and despair, ruled by an evil bear who smells of strawberries!
– Toy Story 3
Ree: I’d be lost without the weight of you two on my back. I ain’t going anywhere.
– Winters Bone
Doug MacRay: But I know I’ll see you; this side or the other.
– The Town
King George VI: Get up! Y-you can’t sit there! GET UP!
Lionel Logue: Why not? It’s a chair.
King George VI: T-that… that is Saint Edward’s chair.
Lionel Logue: People have carved their names on it.
King George VI: L-listen to me… listen to me!
Lionel Logue: Why should I waste my time listening to you?
King George VI: Because I have a voice!
Lionel Logue: …yes, you do.
– The Kings Speech
Aron Ralston: You know, I’ve been thinking. Everything is… just comes together. It’s me. I chose this. I chose all this. This rock… this rock has been waiting for me my entire life. It’s entire life, ever since it was a bit of meteorite a million, billion years ago. In space. It’s been waiting, to come here. Right, right here. I’ve been moving towards it my entire life. The minute I was born, every breath that I’ve taken, every action has been leading me to this crack on the out surface.
– 127 Hours
Dean: I feel like men are more romantic than women. When we get married we marry, like, one girl, ’cause we’re resistant the whole way until we meet one girl and we think I’d be an idiot if I didn’t marry this girl she’s so great. But it seems like girls get to a place where they just kinda pick the best option… ‘Oh he’s got a good job.’ I mean they spend their whole life looking for Prince Charming and then they marry the guy who’s got a good job and is gonna stick around.
– Blue Valentine
Dan Brenner: …that your ransom video already has 47,000 hits on YouTube.
– Buried
Jules: …marriage is hard… Just two people slogging through the shit, year after year, getting older, changing. It’s a fucking marathon, okay? So, sometimes, you know, you’re together for so long, that you just… You stop seeing the other person. You just see weird projections of your own junk. Instead of talking to each other, you go off the rails and act grubby and make stupid choices… You know if I read more Russian novels, then…
– The kids are alright
Rufus Scrimgeour: These are dark times, there is no denying. Our world has perhaps faced no greater threat than it does today. But I say this to our citizenry: We, ever your servants, will continue to defend your liberty and repel the forces that seek to take it from you! Your Ministry remains, strong.
– Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1
Hiccup: This is Berk. It snows nine months out of the year, and hails the other three. What little food grows here is tough and tasteless. The people that grow here, even more so. The only upsides are the pets. While other places have ponies, or parrots… we have dragons.
– How to Train your Dragon
Banksy: Yeah, I was faced with that terrible thing, when somebody shows you their work and everything about it is shit… so… you don’t really know where to start.
– Exit Through the Gift Shop

Adventures with a Frenchmen

A couple weeks ago I as given a very special job “ tour guide / baby sitter” I was informed that French chef was coming into Juneau for a couple hours in between flights and had to be taken care of for a while. Brenda knew I would be perfect for the job because it basically was time for me to talk and drive around town.
Now we pick up Julian at the airport and Brenda takes us first to the Mendenhall glacier where we can show him the coolest thing Juneau has to offer. Of course the glacier is amazing and even I just stand there staring at it . I love the majestic beauty of the glacier and how it’s every changing. It’s truly an amazing thing to be able to see.
After the glacier we drop Brenda off at a meeting and we are free to go wherever. Of course I ask “what would you like to see?” “Boats I want to see boats “what the hell? So I drive him to the docks and was inwardly hoping that seeing them from the car would be enough for him, alas no we had to walk down and get really close to these boats. Now it was pretty cold that day and I was not prepared to be walking around a frozen dock looking at boats. He taught me lots of information I never cared nor needed to know about the boating life. Finally we got back in the car and I happily told him it was time for lunch. We drove to the Silver bow Café and proceeded to order our food and chat.
Julian is super cool and has lot of great stories to tell so we were having a very animated conversation.
– Sidebar I am someone who does not have a regulator on my voice its very loud and high pitched; sometimes only dogs can hear me.
Now my little French friend is very loud and animated too, if you have never been in Silver bow its awkwardly quite and really just kind of a weird place. Some lady from the back of the café gets up and walks to our table she is probably mid to late fifties smaller build with white hair she then says to us. (Hand of god this is the exact truth I am not adding to this at all).

” I know you have many amazing stories to tell and have done many awesome things in your life but could you be quiet?”

No I don’t what kind of tree branch she had stuck up her ass but man was it a big one. I have been scolded and even yelled at in public places before but never has anyone been this bitchy to me. As we left the place Julian said a bit too loudly “if she does not want to hear people talk then she should stay home to drink her coffee”.
